This came in from one of the class members who was having trouble with logging back into the blog. I wanted to pass on his thoughts, though.....
This lesson seems to be in line with what Rev. Morgan was saying at the visioning session a couple of weeks ago. Change is tuff when we see the familiar slipping away, I guess that's why I still prefer 1st service over 2nd service. I like the traditional music a lot better than the songs at second service and I don't like being told to clap - since I have no rhythm. I used to attend a Methodist church with my grandparents in Spruce, MO in the sixties and very early seventies and I liked the "method" of the service. The church I grew up in was becoming a lot more like the second service at St. Luke's - there were some Sundays it seemed we'd sing one chorus after another for up to an hour before there would be preaching. Well more than you wanted to know.

I think this lesson tied in well with Rev. Morgan's comments at the visioning session on February 9th. Maybe a copy of his remarks would bring the lesson home to St. Luke's.
Good suggestion. I'll see if
Rev. Morgan can send me a copy.
Thanks and I'm glad to see you were able to post a comment.
